10 days Trip to Japan vol:2 大阪市sightseeing

お元気ですか? Let's continue my 2nd post of my 10 days in Japan this hot evening in Malaysia.. ;)

Before we proceed to Nara, this post still would continue my trip in Osaka 大阪市.

Through this post, I will introduce you the nice places that I've visited after 2 days show in Osaka-大阪市. So, 1st post about my designs showcase in Sakura Collection, now is a post for sight-seeing around Japan! :D

The 3rd day we were still in Osaka, but it's the 3rd hotel that I checked in.

For your travel information, 1st hotel was Granvia Umeda Hotel (Nearby Breeze Breeze Shopping Centre), 2nd was Kanku Washington Hotel (Nearby Kansai International Airport)

3rd now was Hotel Universal Port, which links to the Universal Studio Japan.

Schedule of the day: 1st- Samurai Experience!

We went to this Samurai class by bus in the morning where we would get some professional training of how to act and move like a samurai~ Definitely fun and excited for all of us, but I think its so hard for me to use the sword..(I can't take it out and put it back smoothly lol..lack of samurai-to-be potential ^^''

The very "polite-looking" samurai...was an epic fail! Hahaha..I should act fierce.. xD

                         

Cute samurai Amy Ban aka Designer, Fashion lecturer from Busan and Chae Been Park aka Miss Korea.

(We kept saying that Amy actually looks more like a ninja cuz she can jump and move fast lol!)

                    

They helped us to put on the Samurai's costume as we have no idea how to wear correctly~ 

*Japanese do concern of food and clothing, so if not sure of the proper way of wearing, 

better ask them for help! :)

Samurai Newwy in action!

We had the class for around 1 hour in the Samurai classroom..learnt some basic move of showing respect to others, how to bring out sword and put in back in correct way,attack and defends skill and lastly to pair up for a "fight" groups action. Then we ended up with a cool Samurai group photo!

Up next, we stopped by beside the road and walked into a lively street full with different food restaurants and shopping brands. We were there for our Sushi Making Session and lunch~ I personally love the street cuz of their unique restaurant deco and Japanese people who walked around me. Feel so Japan! x)

We were finally arrived to the lunch place, on the 3rd floor without crowd..."Daikisuisan" Sushi Restaurant

The CEO of Daikisuisan was explaining about the history of their restaurant 

and how they process their fresh fish to become delicious food on sushi.

We were proud to watch the chef live in front of our eyes how to handle the big huge fish!

Explaining the different parts of a salmon fish..the fair part contains more fats 

and more expensive as its only small amount in a huge fish body.

We were making our own sushi topping with fresh salmon! Happpiiieeeee haha..

I can finally taste salmon fish in Japan after 2 days..my Fav!

I like the busy street view in Osaka..it's Sunday a holiday to most of them! Do you like it too? ;)

After that here we were...to the Osaka Castle.

Another Beauty of Japan! I like the color combination so much! :D

we went up all the ways to have a glance of Osaka.

It worth for us to climb upstairs in Osaka Castle for this view because its definitely was to-die-for! 

*Shh...Saw this cute family scene and I can't control myself to snap this photo..they are so 可愛い especially the two kids with traditional japanese clothes on awww~~

We actually spend all our energy on this day..do so many activities in the whole morning and afternoon, so early evening we have a short rest in Hotel Universal Port, and night we were lucky to get into Universal Studio Japan!!

We walked down from our hotel as Universal Studio just located opposite nearby. And not forget to mention Hotel Universal Port was having Halloween deco and Ocean theme for rooms which I really appreciate the nice interior! :))

Halloween spirits everywhere...but also..live Zombies everywhere!! Well even though I don't believe they are really real, but with the "real" make-up, clothes, act and sound effects cover all the studio..we ended up running around escape from zombies..lol!

We went into this 4D Spiderman which was awesome! 

Explored in the 4D world with the amazing spiderman! ;)

The unforgettable night in Osaka ended here in the wonderland..USJ!

10 days Trip to Japan vol.1 大阪市Show

こんにちは~! Hello to my dear readers,
this is a post from what I've done in the holiday while today actually is my first day of semester 5. Aww, last two semester and I am gonna graduate! Time flies..wish me luck in this new sem. ;)

So, I had just experienced the most well spend-great holiday in my life so far in pass two weeks! I was so so lucky to fly to Japan with Sakura Collection team, to the sakura countries which also the signature beauty of Asian in my eyes after I won the Sakura Collection Students Award'13. What's more? I was going there all alone but met with so many new friends from M'sia and other Asia countries! That's so new to me..and now I can't agree more of this quote "True life start when you're out of your comfort zone!" 

Yea! 
First time for airplane, all went well except my legs can't fits the small space I have well! :P
First time to go somewhere far far away from home and was worried how if I got home sick but actually I was in "Eat well, play hard, sleep tight" condition x)
First time to meet with so many great people from different countries: Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Korea and of course Japan! Not to mention all the pro designers, models, artists and even a strong staff team backstage! 
Besides, Japan is also my very first touch down land other than Singapore..and glad that I can stay for 10 days from Osaka to Nara, Chiba and lastly Tokyo! :))

Met with Yuri before going to Japan with Eleen, model represent Malaysia for Osaka. :)

And this was the very first lunch time and we met and introduced ourselves 
in that restaurant.

Menu: Salad, Small Udon to go with special sauce, Sashimi and Octopus Set plate, and a large Cream Udon! So full and delicious~

Golden Pavilion

Yes, it's all about Golden Pavilion for this post. If you don't know about what the title mean, it's actually a gorgeous building in Kyoto Japan, also named Kinkuji Temple. Why I used 'Gorgeous' for a beautiful building? This is because when I first saw this architecture it totally amazed me with the elegant and beauty of it's golden color and surrounding scenery, like a royal princess lives in a secret garden perhaps.
Here you go, the photo of Golden Pavilion.

And it's all my inspiration to create two designs..for Sakura Collection Students Award 2013! :)

Gonna go through the process of this competition over again, ready? set, GO! haha\
Step 1: I sent my designs with inspiration board above to their email..and wait for announce of top 10..

Step 2: I luckily got reply mail from the organizer and confirmed that I got into the final! I were so happy that time, yup and still remember! Inside the letter stated I have to post two designs to their mail 1 week b4 the final on 21st July.

Step 3: Starting my garments paper pattern think and think again...do samples, and shop shop shop for fabrics...materialss...etc. After that, work all day and night to done my designs asap. Yea, not much time left! Oh ya, I were able to meet with two of my models: Kay and Rebecca as they are same campus with me. I were feeling fortunate few times as I did a right choice on my models for me easy to do fitting! :)

Step 4: Okay this is something extra...I were doing all my designs and sent on time. After that left one week to 21st July. So, what I were doing in that week? It's a tough week for me. Besides doing some repairing and finishing of garments, I just started to work for my VIP n  VTTTF assignments, yes VIP and VTTTF?=very important project; very-take-time-to-finish lol! Batik and printing!! I were totally depressed when I faced difficulties in printing because the silkscreen with photoemulsion didn't turn out well. I failed 2 times and thinking of third time is the totally "Gan jiong" one..if fail too, it would bcome mission impossible for me to hand in my design during assessment which is next day after the competition! However, I met with many seniors who kindly helped me a lot! A LOT! I FELT TRULY APPRECIATE WHEN EVERYTIME I HAVE TO DO AGAIN THERE'S A KIND SENIOR APPEAR TO HELP ME! Thank you you and you so much! And yeah! I succeed the third time! :DD

Step 5: Do some test on hair and make up at home before the actual day. My very lovely, helpful, super women mommy helped me to be the stylist-of-the-day again during that day. I don't know how others see, but to me her style making is perfect! She's the person I need to thank most because not only helped me whole day from 8.30am to after competition, and accompany me, give comments during the whole process while I making the garments every night till 2am. THANK YOU MOMMY :D

Step 6: 21st July 2013, to Pavilion KL 7th Floor Platinum Hall for rehearsal, and preparation. When till the event started, I were being told by my dear models that I actually in a blank and "Look-so-stressful" situation backstage. While I actually thinking about what should I present in front of all professional judges later :P
Luckily I managed to recall back what I wrote in inspiration board and speak fluently in front of them. Pheww... And yea, walked runway with my models, having photos here and there, thanks to my models who are really tired after the show all day long!

Step 7: The announcement of result is the highlights for sure! There were so many awards before the winner..and I hardly could heard named being called and what awards they were giving..that made me even more nervous k? :X But when the last name call, I heard my name! I were in cloud 9 and felt happy like never before!! Walked to stage and received prize with glad, and heard the judge saying that he gave the highest marks to me mean a lot to me! It's 2nd time that my designs are officially being amazed by people and they assure me my choice to make this move! All I could say is thanks to every single one who helped me, advise me, vote for me, and myself who dedicated to sleep less haha! Lovessss XOXO


Yea, that's would be an end for my post so far, thanks again for my models who wore my designs with confident and enhance my designs to live! Love you two pretties so much! :D

Not an end to Japan trip! Feeling excited more and more each day oh-ow... =P
